There is a vast collection of silver artefacts that date back to the XVI century, almost all the handiwork of the best Neapolitan craftsmen and which fill the display cases in the subsequent halls along with precious walls. Various paintings illustrate the activity of an interesting, though rarely studied, painter from Nardò, Donato Antonio D’Orlando (1562-1636), a representative of the guidelines of the Counter-Reform promoted by the Council of Trent.
